Fly in visits
On exceptional occasions, the Heritage Centre may host fly-in visits by heritage-relevant historic aircraft such as Military War Birds, for the purposes of providing a static display attraction on our public open days. Overnight stays are not permitted.
Please email the number of persons, number of aircraft, tail numbers, aircraft types, POC and any other relevant details to RAAF.AAHC@defence.gov.au in the first instance.
We do not provide air traffic control or parking for general aviation aircraft.
All civilian aircraft operating at RAAF Amberley must be equipped with a serviceable transponder and at least one radio transceiver capable of operating on 129.35, 118.3, 126.2, 134.6, and 121.2 MHz.
AVGAS is not available at RAAF Base Amberley.
