The RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre's restoration workshop is housed in a Bellman hangar provided by the RAAF to restore and maintain aircraft and heritage listed artifacts. The restored items are then showcased to display the history of aviation at RAAF Amberley and the RAAF in South East Queensland in War and Peace.
The Bellman hangar - BLD263 is fitted out with light machinery, metal fabrication and welding bays and a tool store. In addition to these are three aircraft restoration bays and an engine work shop where volunteers conduct the restoration processes safely.
Currently in the workshop:
- Avro Anson
- Kiowa helcopter (being converted to a flight simulator)
- Numerous engines
