Public Open Day
18 February @ 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre Public Open Day
***Our February Open Day is to be held Sunday, 18 Feb 18!***
Entry is free though donations are appreciated.
Our open days are suitable for young and old, so bring along the kids and the grandparents and anyone else who loves planes.
The heritage centre is open between 9am and 3pm, however, please note access to the RAAF Base ceases at 2:00pm sharp.
You can download the visitor application form from our website (under ‘tickets’ on this event). Bring it with you (one per vehicle) and photo ID for those who are 16 and over to minimise delays in access through the gate. As the heritage centre is located within RAAF Base Amberley, if you turn up without photo ID, we unfortunately won’t be able to let you on to the base.
We also have items for purchase at our gift shop, a coffee van, our raffle and our yummy sausage sizzle, so don’t forget your loose change.
Please note the following conditions:
– Smoking is prohibited throughout the Centre precinct.
– Working assistance dogs are accommodated, however pets are not permitted on the Base.
– Photography is prohibited whilst transiting between the front gate and the heritage centre.
Additional attractions for our February 18 Public Open day:
T-28 Trojan Aircraft
For our upcoming Public Open Day this Sunday, 18 Feb, we will have a T-28 Trojan aircraft dropping in for a visit. It will be a static display so everyone will be able to get up close, have a look, and even take some happy snaps!

Besides its use as a trainer, the T-28 was successfully employed as a counter-insurgency aircraft, primarily during the Vietnam War.
