Community and School Groups

The RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre welcomes community groups and schools to visit us on our weekday openings, every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am – 3pm. These visits must be pre-arranged with us.

RAAF Base Amberley is a secure flying base and visiting groups are requested to plan their visit inclusive of arrival together on a minibus, bus or coach. Individual vehicles are not permitted to enter the base without prior arrangement except on Public Open Days.

Your bus will be met and escorted onto the base and will take you to the Heritage Centre. At the Heritage Centre you are free to visit the displays located in the hangars and adjacent buildings.

Our volunteers will be available to tell you about the displays and there are signs and videos throughout the Heritage Centre, and you are free to take photos withing the Centre perimeter.

There is a gift shop with EFTPOS facilities on site that stocks a range of interesting items.
